May 13-17Weekly Update:
This week we are continuing our reading buddy/electronic book project. Our classes are being paired up with Chautauqua classes; we will visit CES and read to our reading buddies a couple of times. Then we will create an interactive electronic story for our reading buddies. Eventually the CES classes will come to McMurray to read the stories on the computer. 7th graders will learn about children's literature, advanced PowerPoint, animation, writing stories, editing images, adding sound effects, etc.

Dates are approximate and subject to change The course will build on previous computer skills and students will explore in depth projects and be encouraged to incorporate technology in other course work. Throughout the semester students will: Develop keyboarding skills Improve and develop Internet research skills Utilize various software: Web editor, Illustrator, Photo editing, Open Office, Word, Excel, Microtype Multimedia, PowerPoint (advanced), NXT Lego Robot software
