Important!
We strive to keep this page updated, however, last minute schedule changes often occur and will NOT be posted to the website. Always verify game and traveling schedules with the coach of your student/athlete. Ferry times are NOT always accurate since traffic, games times and ferry schedules are unpredictable. We encourage you to obtain the cell phone number of the coach or provide your student/athlete with a means to communicate with you on game day.

Hawkins Praises our Coaches

The following letter was forwarded to McMurray from Tom Worlund, principal of Hawkins Middle School on December 11th.  The letter praises our coaches for their great display of sportsmanship.  Thank you to Kevin Linnell and Michael Ates, basketball coaches extraordinaire.

“I just wanted to share with you how much Shannon and I appreciated the way the McMurray coaches handled the differences in talent last night.  They played a lot of back up players for a significant amount of time in the 1st and 2nd quarters.  This allowed our kids to have some success early, which helped them maintain a high level of effort and enthusiasm for the remainder of the game.  I would be willing to guess that many parents were also very appreciative of this act of kindness.  These coaches actually did what was best for all of our kids and it was really appreciated.
David Smethers and Shannon Dykman, Hawkins Boys Basketball Coaches”

In our continued effort to keep parents informed, we are currently working on improving two information systems:

McMurray Reader Board - Have you noticed our new sign at the north end of the parking lot? We update the sign weekly with sport schedules and other school activities. If you have a question about information on the sign please contact Ms. Johnson in the school office at 463-9168 ext 171..

Sports Phone Line - 463-9168 ext 600. This message-only line will be updated with general information and specific arrival times for traveling sport teams. The message will only be changed if a bus will not make the ferry time posted. Please note that this system is currently being implemented, but may still have a few problems. If you have questions or comments, please call Gates Johnson at 463-9168 ext 171 or e-mail at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Thank you.
