RAISE MONEY Sip Coffee

Exclusive “Pirate Blend” coffee will be sold in the office as an additional money raiser for the “Special Projects” fund.

Calling all coffee lovers. Ever think that drinking coffee could be a way to support a cause? What if that cause was your high school?
Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie is creating an exclusive Island blend that will be sold to a few organizers for resale through the high school. Any money that this endeavor raises is to go into the “Special Projects” Fund.
This area of the budget is aimed at benefiting school clubs and sports in need of additional financial assistance. This budgetary subcategory could also benefit minor school needs, such as the lack of chairs in the lunchroom and other unfunded requirements here at the high school.
Master roasters Peter Larson and Eva DeLoach have created the ‘Pirate Blend’ which will hopefully put some “Aaarrgh” into your step after the very first sip. The “Pirate Blend” is a medium-dark, rich tasting blend perfect for all coffee aficionados.
This coffee is exceptionally special as it can only be bought through the high school. All of the proceeds from coffee sales will be put towards a “special project” fund, which includes student clubs, ASB gaps and whatever else students need such as chairs for the lunchroom.
Art teacher Amy Dubin asked all of the Painting and Drawing class students from second trimester to fashion a pirate-themed label design for the bags of coffee featuring the school’s color. Senior Samantha Burkhart’s design was chosen to be featured on the final label.
The coffee comes in one pound bags and is available ground or as whole beans. The coffee will cost $10 per pound. Look for order forms, which are coming out soon, in the office. They also may be handed out soon.
Any questions can be directed to Ms. Bakker at (206) 463-9171 extension 111 or email at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Order forms:  coffeeorderform.pdf
